Usually, the excitement of finally being able to go on a date will cloud your judgement on what you should wear for the evening. You will pull out your entire wardrobe and still find nothing worthy of the occasion. Things can get quite messy but whatever you do, you should make sure that you do not think of making the mistake of wearing any of these things to your date. This applies regardless of the message you want to pass across unless it reads, "I never want to see you again." Which in any case would better be stated.
Here are some things what you should never ever wear to a date:
Red lipstick.
The emphasis is on the red lipstick but it would be better not to have any lipstick on. Especially if you want to get that first kiss. Go for something more subtle and mature like a lip balm. It works wonders while still accentuating your lips.
Do not wear something brand new.
There is a whole lot of problems that come with opting to wear new things on a date. After throwing your entire wardrobe on the flow in a futile effort to get something to wear, you might come to the conclusion that you could just run to the clothing store and get something that is more worth it. Do Not! Since it is new, it is obvious that you haven't gotten rid of all the quirks, maybe it will ride up when you walk, if it is the shoes, they might give you blisters, or maybe the top might require a double sided tape. Regardless of what the problem might be, you can expect it to show up when you least expect it and when you are helpless. Stick to something you are conversant with and more importantly something that is comfortable.
Padded bra.
It is never that bad to give the little twins a boost. But keep in mind that this is just false advertising. The last thing you want is for him to like your boobs only to find that they were not as advertised. That would be a disappointment. Additionally, you can never tell how the date will end and he could end up finding a padded bra could raise a lot of doubt what else is going to turn out to be a sham. Instead, you can wear a dress that gives you an illusion of having a bigger bust. This way, you will still boost your confidence and you will not be doing some false advertising either.
Sneakers.
Unless you plan on jogging home after the date, sneakers to a date are a great mistake. Actually, they are a great mistake unless you are wearing them the park, for a walk or to gym. That is about it. Instead a pair of heels would do you some justice. If not some classy flats could be a worthy substitute even though these trend on very thin ice.
Glitters.
Even though you might be young at heart and you might want to show this, you might want to remember that you are going on a date and not prom. Even worse, having glitters on you face makes you look crazy not to mention they will be left on everything you touch. Even on your date if you happen to hug him. Keep the make-up to a minimum and on an as needed basis.
Too much perfume.
Well, there are guys that are sensitive to smell not to mention that wearing too much perfume will have a chocking smell that will make him quite uncomfortable. A light and simple fragrance or even just smelling clean is far more attractive.
Turtle neck.
Unless you are trying to remind your date of their mother, a turtle neck is a no go zone when it comes to dressing up for a date. If the weather is chilly, there are other classier options that you can consider that would work just as well without showing how conservative you are.
An overly revealing outfit.
You have to know where to draw the line between being a teaser and showing too much skin. Unless you are looking to get laid on the first date, then you can consider the latter which would then poke holes into your integrity.
There are other things never to wear on a date that are actually considered illegal on the itinerary like flip flops and a track suit. If you are hoping to get the best out of your date, then you have to be prepared to bring your best game.
